About CTTA’s Diploma in Computer Education (D.C.Ed.) rogram. With the introduction of CTTA, we are trying to fill the huge gap between the requirement and the availability of qualified Computer Teachers. The process of computerization has reached almost all levels of the society and computer has also been introduced as a subject on school levels.
However, well-trained manpower to teach computers is still inadequate and CTTA would be a first of its kind attempt to produce computer teachers, he added. Broadly CTTA program can be considered as D.Ed. in the field of Information Technology and would act as a unique method to develop IT teachers. The course is being known as a Diploma in Computer Education (D.C.Ed). |

Syllabus 
Semester 1: Desk Top Publishing (DTP), Programming with ‘C’, Web Designing
Semester 2: Communication Skill, Object Oriented Programming (C++), Computer Accounting, Principles of Education.
Semester 3:
Computer Architecture and Maintenance, Development of Life Skill, Educational Project.
Elective (Any one):= Visual Basic, Java Programming, and Relational Database Management System. And Micro teaching (Demo Lectures)

- Our main focus is on Development of IT teacher and subjects like Education Psychology, Communication skills and Educational Evaluation will develop an ability of computer teacher.

JOB PROFILE  |

It is excellently designed course mainly to cater the need and greater demand for the job opportunities of Computer Teacher in Schools, Junior Colleges, ITI’s, Technical Institutes and Private Computer Training Institutes of our country. The need for trained computer teacher is growing constantly. In our country the present rate of computer user is merely 8% as against 85% in developed countries. As per the Government reports out of 10 million prospective jobs in IT, 60% opportunities will be earmarked for teaching and consultancy sectors. Hence there is great potentiality of upcoming programs in computer education in Private, Semi-Government and Government sectors. There shall be always a need for Trained Computer or I.T. Teacher which would be required by all these sectors. Existing D.Ed or B.Ed educated teachers shall not able to fulfill such need as they are not fully trained to be computer teacher. Neither a person having done a single nor multiple courses in one particular application may be suitable to perform the role of computer teacher successfully. Considering all the inputs and knowledge of application software require for trained computer teacher, the curriculum and program of this course is designed. Apart from the main aspect, the prospective passed out students of this course of studies may have good employment opportunities at Software development companies and an unique entrepreneurial scope of starting their own training center, be a software developer, hardware engineer, DTP operator and a Graphic designer.
The main role the student of this course program is to work as Computer or I.T. Teacher in Government, Semi-Government or private sectors. With the proper financial support and keeping the high goals in minds certain mass of passed out student may opt to start their own training institute. They shall be mainly responsible to impart computer education as per the syllabus / curriculum prescribed by Government and Non-government bodies keeping very high quality of education in front of them.

Education Eligibility Criteria  |

Minimum eligibility criteria for the admission of Diploma in Computer Education (D.C.Ed) course will be based on 10+2 pattern. It means H.S.C. passed from all streams including Arts, Commerce and Science or Any Graduate. Even HSC appeared students can apply for D.C.Ed CET examination. Additionally student must passed MS-CIT or any equalling Govt. certificate course like (DOEACC ‘O’ Level or C-DAC’S CCOA course or MCVC + MS-CIT / CCC). |
